In-Room Services at NYU Langone Hospital—Brooklyn

NYU Langone Hospital—Brooklyn provides the following in-room services for patients whose care requires an overnight stay.

Patient Meals

NYU Langone Hospital—Brooklyn provides meals that meet your cultural, religious, or personal nutritional needs, including food allergy restrictions. Halal and kosher meals are available daily, as are vegetarian choices. You can request that meals be free of dairy, pork, gelatin, lard, alcohol-based ingredients, or any foods to which you are allergic. We have a chef on staff who specializes in preparing traditional Chinese meals.

To order a specific meal, please talk to your nurse or call 718-630-8385.

If you or your family wish to bring outside or home-cooked food, please talk to your nurse and doctor first, as certain conditions, treatments, or medications might require avoiding certain foods. If you are Jewish and follow a strict kosher diet, you may store food in the Bikur Cholim Yad Yaakov Room. Ask your nurse for more information.

Cell phones, laptops, tablets, and portable DVD devices may be used on a limited basis in patient care areas. We ask that you be considerate of other patients and keep the volume to a minimum. Please be advised that NYU Langone Hospital—Brooklyn is not responsible for the safety and security of these items during your stay. Photography and videotaping are prohibited.

Telephone, television, and Wi-Fi services are provided free of charge to patients and their guests.
