Samuels Orthopedic Immediate Care Center

NYU Langone’s Samuels Orthopedic Immediate Care Center is one of New York City’s only walk-in orthopedic immediate care facilities. We treat more than 7,000 people each year who have acute orthopedic problems.

We offer medical care specifically for people with orthopedic injuries, unlike emergency rooms that treat people who have a broad range of urgent health problems. The result is that you receive specialized orthopedic care with less waiting time. The vast majority of our patients are treated and discharged within two and a half hours.

Our team—comprised of an emergency medicine doctor and an orthopedic surgery resident doctor or physician assistant—evaluate and treat both children and adults for acute orthopedic problems, including the following:

• joint or bone infections
• dislocation or joint injuries
• hand and foot injuries
• hip, arm, or leg fractures
• sprains

Care for children is provided through Hassenfeld Children’s Hospital at NYU Langone.

Please note that we do not offer MRI scans or provide joint injections at this location.
