Same-Day Care at NYU Langone

At NYU Langone Health, we offer same-day care in person and by video visit—making it convenient for you to see a provider right away.

Our experts treat a range of medical needs, including common illnesses and injuries as well as acute orthopedic issues. We also offer various options for accessing primary care.

Virtual Urgent Care

Through NYU Langone’s Virtual Urgent Care, you can schedule a video visit for non-emergency medical concerns at home, at work, or on the go. Our service is available from early morning to midnight, 365 days of the year, for adults and children ages 5 and older. You must be physically located in New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, Pennsylvania, Florida, or Nevada at the time of the visit to use this service.

Urgent Care

For routine illnesses and injuries, visit one of our two urgent care locations: NYU Langone Ambulatory Care West Side and NYU Langone at Trinity. Our experts conduct minor procedures and diagnostic tests such as blood work and X-rays. You can walk in or schedule an appointment.

Care on Demand

For same-day primary care, drop by one of our Care on Demand locations or schedule an appointment online. Our providers at NYU Langone Care on Demand—Upper East Side and NYU Care on Demand—West Village see adults who do not have immediate access to a primary care doctor or who have a time-sensitive need. We treat nonurgent, non-emergency conditions.

Nurse Practitioner Video Visit

Many primary care and gynecology providers have nurse practitioners (NPs) who collaborate with them to provide same-day or next-day video visits for non-emergency or chronic health conditions, such as coughs, colds, flu, urinary tract infections, rashes, and tick bites, as well as handle medication refills. If you are a patient at a participating practice, you will see the option to schedule a visit with a nurse practitioner by logging into the NYU Langone Health app. You can also call the practice to make an appointment.

Pediatric Sick Visit

For our general pediatric practices, same-day or next-day sick visits can be scheduled through the NYU Langone Health app or by calling the practice directly.

Samuels Orthopedic Immediate Care Center

NYU Langone’s Samuels Orthopedic Immediate Care Center evaluates and treats sprains, fractures, and urgent bone and joint problems. We offer one of the city’s only walk-in locations for orthopedic injuries.

Emergency Care

We offer emergency care for adults and children at our hospitals in Manhattan, Brooklyn, and on Long Island, and at our emergency department on Atlantic Avenue in Brooklyn.
