Dr. Adams leads a multidisciplinary team of more than 50 physicians and research scientists who work together to provide outstanding breast cancer care to patients.
Dr. Adams is also professor in the Department of Medicine at NYU Langone Health and a board-certified medical oncologist who, since joining NYU Langone’s faculty in 2003, has provided clinical care for women and men who have or are at risk for breast cancer. She is an internationally recognized expert in breast cancer immunotherapy who has led groundbreaking research and clinical studies leading to new treatments for triple-negative breast cancer.
Dr. Adams serves as the co-chair of the National Cancer Institute’s Breast Immuno-Oncology (BIO) Task Force and has received prestigious grants from the American Society of Clinical Oncology and the National Cancer Institute to support her work. Her research has been presented at international meetings and published in many medical journals including the New England Journal of Medicine, JAMA Network, Nature, and The Lancet.
Dr. Adams’s work has also been featured in prominent media outlets including The New York Times, The Washington Post, and NPR. She has also appeared on several TV shows including on ABC7NY’s breast cancer special.View Full Profile
