At NYU Langone Hospital—Long Island, we provide comprehensive pediatric care for infants, children, and adolescents. Whether your child has been diagnosed with a common illness or a complex condition, our pediatric specialists are here to support them during their hospital visit for evaluation, imaging services, treatment, or monitoring.
Centrally located in Nassau County, we make it convenient for your child to get top-quality care on Long Island. As part of the NYU Langone Health system, your child also has access to leading pediatric specialists and subspecialty care, including cardiac and transplant care, through Hassenfeld Children’s Hospital in Manhattan and other NYU Langone locations. We coordinate across locations to ensure pre- and post-care regarding your child’s needs, diagnosis, and treatment plan.
We offer 24/7 inpatient pediatric care and neonatal critical care. We are home to a Level 3 Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, where we provide additional support for newborns who need it.
Outside of critical and emergency care, every pediatric patient admitted to NYU Langone Hospital—Long Island works with a board-certified hospitalist who can assist with coordinating care for your child and answer questions you may have.

Pediatric Emergency Services
At NYU Langone Hospital—Long Island, our pediatric emergency department has a multidisciplinary team of experts who are trained to treat infants, children, and adolescents in urgent situations, delivering care in a supportive and child-friendly environment. We also have some of the shortest wait times in Nassau County.
Pediatric Cancer and Blood Disorders Program
NYU Langone Cancer Center for Kids—Mineola is Nassau County’s largest outpatient facility for childhood cancer and blood disorders. As part of NYU Langone Hospital—Long Island, our multidisciplinary team supports children and families at every step, from diagnosis through survivorship. We treat children with all types of cancer and blood disorders and offer advanced treatment options in one convenient location.
Pediatric Transplant Services
We offer access to advanced pediatric transplant services, including heart, liver, lung, and kidney transplants, through our partnership with the NYU Langone Transplant Institute in Manhattan. While surgery takes place at Hassenfeld Children’s Hospital, our NYU Langone Hospital—Long Island team manages evaluations and provides pre- and post-transplant support locally.
NYU Langone’s transplant services are among the best in the nation. We are the No. 1 pediatric kidney transplant program and pediatric liver transplant program in New York and among the top 6 in the United States, according to the Scientific Registry of Transplant Recipients. Our pediatric heart transplant program has faster transplant rates than regional and national averages.
Pediatric Cardiac Care
We provide comprehensive pediatric cardiac services, from your child’s initial diagnosis through long-term management. At NYU Langone Hospital—Long Island, your child will receive evaluations, routine visits, and ongoing monitoring from a dedicated cardiology team. For more complex procedures, we connect your child with experts at Hassenfeld Children’s Hospital, coordinating their care every step of the way while giving you access to advanced cardiac treatment and expertise.
