As a critical care specialist and clinical professor of medicine at NYU Langone, I am dedicated to providing exceptional patient care. My role in the medical intensive care unit at NYU Langone's Tisch Hospital allows me to engage deeply with patients and their families during some of their most challenging times. I am passionate about advancing medical knowledge and improving patient outcomes through innovative treatments and research.

I specialize in critical care medicine, focusing on extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO), thromboembolic disease, acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS), and sepsis. With years of experience in these areas, I have developed a comprehensive understanding of complex medical conditions and their management. My credentials include being the founder and co-director of the NYU Langone ECMO Program and a master clinician at Bellevue Hospital Center. I am also a founding member of the Pulmonary Embolism Response Team (PERT) and serve on both the sedation and resuscitation committees.

Throughout my career, I have been committed to proactive healthcare engagement and education. I have several publications on ECMO, thromboembolic disease, ARDS, and sepsis, and I am a national speaker on thromboembolic disease. I also lead the NYU Langone ECMO course, sharing my expertise with other healthcare professionals. My dedication to teaching has been recognized with multiple awards, including Teacher of the Year, selected by both house staff and fellows at NYU Grossman School of Medicine.

My journey into medicine was inspired by a desire to make a meaningful impact on patients' lives. My educational background and clinical experiences have shaped my approach to practice, emphasizing the importance of coordinated care within the NYU Langone system. I am committed to fostering strong partnerships with my patients, ensuring they receive the highest quality of care and support.
