Oculoplastics has given me the privilege to interact with patients from all walks of life, guiding them through their individual journeys, whether it be trauma, cancer, congenital disorders, or changes from aging. The diversity and complexity of these cases have allowed me to collaborate with specialists across various fields, including ophthalmology, otolaryngology, neurosurgery, plastic surgery, radiology, dermatology, endocrinology, and rheumatology.

My specialty allows me to provide medical and surgical treatment for disorders of the eyelid, the tear duct drainage system, and orbit in adults and children. Each patient presents a unique case and story, and I am here to help them navigate their journey to health.

I have had the opportunity to delve into the intricacies of orbital pathology and create innovative projects aimed at improving patient care. One such project is using artificial intelligence (AI) to refine surgical indications for orbital diseases. This multisite, multispecialty project aims to create an integrative clinical toolto predict the need for early surgery in children with orbital abscesses.

I am part of the dedicated team of ophthalmologists at NYU Langone Eye Center. We readily innovate and embrace technology to better understand eye diseases and optimize patient care. I am particularly passionate about my work here because it allows me to investigate and implement the latest solutions for our patients.

My philosophy of patient care is rooted in open and honest communication. I believe that preoperative discussions go beyond the examination room. I am committed to understanding how treatment options can impact the entirety of my patients’ lives. I strive to be the best guide during these conversations with patients and their families, ensuring that they are well informed, comfortable, and actively involved in their treatment plans.
