I pursued a career in medicine because I wanted to help people while staying deeply connected to the science behind their care. Early on, rheumatology captured my interest because the immune system plays a central role in so many diseases, and understanding how it goes awry is one of the most fascinating challenges in medicine. Rheumatologic diseases affect diverse organ systems—from the joints to the heart, kidneys, and lungs—which means every patient is unique. I find it incredibly rewarding to consider how these systems interact while tailoring care to fit each individual's needs. Another exciting aspect of rheumatology is the rapid advancement in treatments. Recent medication innovations have transformed what we can offer, allowing us to help patients in ways that simply weren’t possible a generation ago.

My goal is always to help my patients feel their best, and I build trust by fostering strong, long-term relationships and respecting each person’s values and preferences. Listening, responsiveness, and taking a holistic view are central to my approach. I care for a wide range of autoimmune conditions as part of my general rheumatology practice. I also dedicate specific time to crystal arthritis conditions, such as gout and CPPD disease, as well as spondyloarthritis, including ankylosing spondylitis and psoriatic arthritis. To support accurate diagnoses and deliver more targeted care, I use musculoskeletal ultrasound directly in office visits. Having imaging available at the point of care allows me to sharpen diagnostic precision and guide procedures when necessary.

Outside of patient care, I am deeply committed to advancing treatment options. I participated in a clinical trial on gout at NYU Langone, comparing different approaches to care for this common but often undertreated condition. I strive to bring this same commitment to improving care into all facets of my work. During my training, I was honored to serve as chief fellow, a role that reflected my dedication to both medical education and our division's mission.
