Experts at Sunset Park Family Health Center at NYU Langone provide a full spectrum of outpatient medical care to meet the needs of adults and children. Our center has two locations in Brooklyn. One, located at 150 55th Street, provides adult medicine and specialized care. The other, for women’s health and pediatric care, is at 5610 Second Avenue. Rehabilitation care, including physical therapy, occupational therapy, and speech–language pathology, is available at both locations.
Patients are treated by a medical team that includes doctors, nurse practitioners, and certified nurse midwives.
The Sunset Park Family Health Center at 150 55th Street is accessed through a designated entrance to NYU Langone Hospital—Brooklyn. We provide adult primary and specialty healthcare.
Our adult medicine program provides routine medical care for men and women ages 19 and older. Annual checkups, vaccinations, and routine follow-up appointments after hospital discharge are provided. Urgent care for the common cold, flu, and other illnesses is also available. If your doctor orders blood work, an electrocardiogram (EKG), or retinal screening, they can be done onsite.
We help people manage chronic conditions, including diabetes, arthritis, and allergies. We have a pacemaker clinic, specialized sessions for people with congestive heart failure, HIV counseling, and behavioral healthcare. Our Fast Track colorectal cancer screening program is an information session held once a week for patients preparing for colonoscopy.
We also provide shared medical appointments for people with asthma, diabetes, and those receiving bariatric surgical treatment. These innovative 90-minute appointments combine a one-on-one visit with your doctor with a group session run by a nurse educator. The nurse educator discusses topics important to your condition or treatment, and answers questions from the participants.
Office hours for our adult medicine program are Monday through Thursday, 9:00AM to 7:00PM and Friday, 9:00AM to 5:00PM.
