Ergonomic Evaluations for Individuals
NYU Langone Occupational and Industrial Orthopedic Center offers ergonomic evaluations and recommendations for worksite accommodations, which are changes made to a person’s job when they encounters problems participating in work activities. These changes may entail recommending that someone be placed on restricted duty or redesigning the workplace or person’s job tasks. This service is also available to people who work from home and want to ensure the home office is comfortable and safe.
Our specialists provide a systematic approach to accommodations, beginning with an evaluation and documentation of the job requirements. The information is then compared to the abilities of the person.
Whenever possible, we provide solutions that can be shared with other employees. We make use of a network of interior designers, architects, and vendors to assist in finding specific products. The selection of solutions involves the client, the supervisor, and the case manager of the insurance company.
