At NYU Langone Colon and Rectal Surgery, our surgeons specialize in using the most advanced laparoscopic and robotic surgical techniques to aid in the detection, diagnosis, and treatment of conditions that affect the lower gastrointestinal system, specifically the colon, rectum, and anus.

Colorectal Cancer

Our gastroenterologists, oncologists, and surgeons take a team approach when treating patients with colorectal cancer, as well as when providing preventive screenings.

Our surgeons also perform colonoscopy, a diagnostic exam to look for polyps, ulcers, and tumors, and offer painless treatment of hemorrhoids. We work closely with gastroenterologists and other specialists to ensure an individualized approach with each person. Our surgeons are actively involved in research that helps to advance treatment of these conditions.  

We work closely with experts at Perlmutter Cancer Center if you require further treatment for colon and rectal cancer.
