About Me

As an endocrinologist at NYU Langone, I am committed to providing compassionate, individualized care and building meaningful, long-term relationships with my patients. I believe that understanding each patient’s experiences, concerns, and goals is essential to developing a treatment plan that works for them.

I care for patients with a wide range of endocrine conditions, including diabetes, thyroid disorders, osteoporosis, obesity, transgender care, adrenal and pituitary disorders. I was drawn to endocrinology because of the complexity of the hormonal system and the opportunity to combine evolving medical advances with continuity of care. I especially value patient education and shared decision-making, helping patients understand their conditions and feel confident participating in their care.

Originally from Ecuador, my desire to become a physician was strongly influenced by my family and the values they instilled in me. Their emphasis on compassion, hard work, and caring for others shaped the way I approach medicine today. I strive to treat each patient with the same attention and empathy I would want for a member of my own family.

I am grateful for the opportunity to bring my training, experiences, and passion for endocrinology to NYU Langone. I look forward to continuing to grow as a physician while providing thoughtful, evidence-based care and developing lasting relationships with the patients and communities I have the privilege to serve.
