As a member of NYU Langone’s multidisciplinary head and neck cancer care team, I perform surgery to treat people with cancer of the head and neck, including the mouth, lips, tongue, throat, salivary glands, thyroid, and voice box, as well as advanced skin cancer. I also perform surgery to reconstruct these areas after tumor removal, using a variety of options, including skin grafts, local flaps, and free flaps, in which tissue is transferred from one part of the body to another to reconstruct a defect.

Head and neck cancer can have a major impact on daily life, often affecting the way people communicate and interact with those around them. Navigating the various treatment options can be complicated, confusing, and difficult. At Perlmutter Cancer Center, we work together as a team to come up with a comprehensive treatment plan based on the most recent evidence-based data and guidelines, which we can individualize according to a patient's wishes.

I also treat benign conditions of the head and neck, including congenital masses, vascular malformations, traumas, and osteoradionecrosis, a complication that can occur from radiation therapy.

I have a special interest in international and public health. During college and medical school, I spent multiple summers abroad in various service roles. In 2019, I traveled to Vietnam on a humanitarian surgical mission trip. These experiences have inspired me to work in underserved areas to increase access to healthcare services.

I am dedicated to forming a trusting relationship with my patients and helping them decide on the best treatment strategy, one that considers their goals and priorities.
