Nancy Conroy, MD

As an emergency medicine physician at NYU Langone, I am committed to delivering compassionate care to my patients. Volunteering in hospitals during high school and college sparked my passion for caring for others. After initially pursuing a career in research, I found that I missed the personal connection with people, which drew me back to medicine—a profession that enables me to merge scientific discovery with direct patient care.

This dynamic and fast-paced field brings a variety of cases each day, ranging from medical to surgical. I enjoy treating both pediatric and adult patients, and the unpredictability of not knowing what will come through the door next keeps me passionate about this specialty. With extensive experience in managing critical moments, I am committed to providing high-quality care when it matters most.

As the chief of service for the NYU Langone Cobble Hill Emergency Department, I am honored to serve the Brooklyn community. Working in a smaller, community-oriented emergency department allows me to provide personalized care while having access to the resources and expertise of a larger academic center like NYU Langone. This unique combination enables my team and me to deliver both individualized care and advanced treatments to the patients who need it most.
