About Me
As a child neurologist at NYU Langone, I am dedicated to providing comprehensive and compassionate care to my patients. My approach is rooted in the belief that education and clear communication are essential in transforming the lives of patients and their families. I strive to ensure that every patient receives the most current treatments available, and I am committed to fostering a supportive and informative environment for both patients and their families.
I specialize in pediatric epilepsy and have extensive experience in managing complex neurological conditions in children. As the director of epilepsy at Bellevue Hospital Center, I coordinate both adult and pediatric epilepsy services, ensuring access to high-quality inpatient and outpatient care. My work in establishing New York's first public pediatric epilepsy monitoring program highlights my dedication to improving epilepsy care and outcomes for children across the state.
Throughout my career, I have focused on advancing medical education and clinical care. As the child neurology residency program director at NYU Grossman School of Medicine since 2014, I have been involved in innovative educational initiatives, including neurologic simulation and digital education. My contributions have been recognized with multiple teaching awards, and I have more than 20 peer-reviewed publications on topics ranging from neurology education to pediatric epilepsy.
My journey into medicine began with a strong foundation in neuroscience, supported by my education at the University of Iowa and Michigan State University. I graduated from the Mayo Clinic with a master's in molecular neuroscience and completed my pediatric residency at Rutgers, followed by child neurology training at Columbia University. My passion for education and patient care continues to drive my work, ensuring that I provide the best possible care for my patients.
