About Me
As a licensed clinical social worker at NYU Langone Psychiatry Associates, I provide psychotherapy to individual adults, in person and via telehealth visits. My approach to the therapeutic process is relational, psychodynamic, and collaborative, with the purpose of providing a safe space for you to explore yourself and to facilitate your growth. You are the expert on your life, and together we can make room for where you have been and where you wish to go next.
My experience centers around working with people navigating life changes and adjustments, mood and anxiety disorders, grief, challenging interpersonal dynamics, trauma, and issues of compulsion or addiction. Through intentional listening, I meet people where they are on their journey. I bring deep empathy, a willingness to understand, and an ability to challenge you when needed for the benefit of your therapeutic goals.
In our work together, we might reflect on life events or traumas you endured, look at the impact of relationship histories relative to how you currently function in personal and professional spaces, or identify behavioral patterns and coping mechanisms you use, and examine how they impact your life now. We may also utilize cognitive behavioral therapies (CBT), mindfulness exercises, and dream analysis.
I received my master of social work degree from Fordham University in 2008. I furthered my education, studying psychoanalytic psychotherapy with the Training Institute for Mental Health, and hospital-based pastoral care with the New York Zen Center for Contemplative Care. As part of NYU Langone’s Psychiatry Associates interdisciplinary team, I collaborate with psychiatrists, psychologists, and other clinical social workers, if referrals for medication management and/or therapeutic groups would benefit your care.
