About Me
As a board-certified psychiatrist at NYU Langone Psychiatry Associates, I am deeply committed to helping my patients achieve mental wellness and lead more fulfilling lives. I am motivated by the opportunity to make a positive impact on my patients’ lives, guiding them towards better mental health and overall wellbeing. I specialize in treating patients with a wide range of mental health conditions, including depression, anxiety, trauma, obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD), and attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). Additionally, I have extensive experience in evaluating and treating bipolar disorder and schizophrenia.
As both a physician and psychiatrist, I ensure that underlying medical conditions are not contributing to psychiatric symptoms or complicating treatment. I focus on evaluating and coordinating care with other members of the healthcare team, including psychotherapists, primary care doctors, and specialists. When clinically appropriate, I may recommend medication to address active concerns. At the same time, I often incorporate talk therapy techniques, drawn from psychodynamic therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), and dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), into our medication management visits, using a holistic approach to treatment that addresses both the mind and body.
My affiliation with NYU Langone allows me to provide coordinated care, ensuring that my patients receive comprehensive support on their journey to wellness. In addition to my clinical work, I am also a faculty member at NYU Grossman School of Medicine, where I teach and mentor psychiatric resident doctors. This role keeps me engaged with emerging developments in psychiatry, continuously informing and enhancing my clinical practice.
