About Me
As the manager of social work at NYU Langone Psychiatry Associates, I am dedicated to enhancing access to mental health services for the NYU Langone community and beyond. My therapeutic approach is dynamic and personalized, integrating cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), motivational interviewing (MI), the harm reduction model, and psychodynamic therapy to meet the diverse needs of my patients. I believe in the power of human connection and the capacity for personal growth, which drives me to create a therapeutic environment marked by warmth, compassion, and collaboration.
I specialize in treating a wide range of conditions, including mood disorders, relationship issues, life stage stressors, and issues of addiction. With nearly 20 years of clinical experience, I offer a tailored approach to each patient’s unique circumstances, helping individuals achieve a sense of fulfillment and stability. My commitment to patient care extends to fostering a supportive environment where individuals feel understood, respected, and empowered to share openly. By building trust through genuine connection, I aim to make each session an interactive and integrated experience, addressing real-time concerns while exploring how past experiences shape current challenges.
Throughout my career, I have worked across nonprofit, private practice, and start-up environments, which has equipped me with a broad understanding of human behavior and the flexibility to adapt my therapeutic strategies. I am passionate about mentoring new clinicians, building community, and fostering team development, ensuring that the latest therapeutic techniques are continually applied in practice.
My journey into providing mental health services began with a natural curiosity about human behavior and a deep desire to help others navigate life’s challenges. I graduated from the University of Pennsylvania’s School of Social Policy and Practice with a clinical concentration. A native New Yorker, I value the diverse perspectives I encountered growing up, shaping my commitment to treating all individuals with dignity and respect. While I acknowledge that I can never fully understand another’s experiences, I remain dedicated to creating a space for growth, understanding, and meaningful change.
