About Me
My journey into psychology began with a fascination for understanding motivation and the processes around change. As a licensed clinical psychologist at NYU Langone Psychiatry Associates, I diagnose and treat a variety of mental health conditions such as depression, anxiety, trauma, addiction, and adjustment issues. I also specialize in supporting adults dealing with stress and physical changes due to chronic health conditions. These include experiences with cancer treatment and survivorship, reproductive health issues, autoimmune disease, and cardiovascular disease.
I am passionate about understanding the relationship between emotional and physical health. My goal is to assist adults in navigating the complexities of mental health conditions and the stress that can accompany chronic physical health issues.
In my practice, I work collaboratively with my patients to identify their unique treatment needs. I use an integrative and holistic approach, employing a variety of therapeutic methods. These include psychodynamic, cognitive behavioral (CBT), dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), harm reduction, motivational interviewing, seeking safety, prolonged exposure, acceptance and commitment (ACT), and mindfulness-based approaches. In addition to individual therapy, I also lead a seeking safety group for adults looking to build coping skills to manage traumatic stress symptoms.
At NYU Langone, I connect patients with a wealth of resources within our health system, ensuring a comprehensive approach to care that’s personalized and tailored to individual needs.
