About Me
I was drawn to vascular surgery because of the variety and complexity of the field. Vascular surgeons treat conditions throughout the body and can tailor treatment using medical therapy, minimally invasive endovascular procedures, or open surgery. It is a great privilege to make a tangible difference in patients’ lives, whether by saving a limb, preventing a stroke, or treating a life-threatening vascular condition.
Just as important to me is the longitudinal nature of vascular surgery. I value the opportunity to build long-term relationships and to help patients navigate decisions as their needs change over time. Many patients first see a vascular surgeon before they ever need a procedure and continue to receive care for years afterward.
I treat a broad range of arterial and venous conditions, including peripheral artery disease, carotid artery disease, aortic aneurysms, venous disease, and dialysis access. Because there is often more than one appropriate way to approach a vascular problem, I work with each patient to determine the treatment that best fits their condition and individual goals.
I believe trust starts with open communication. I want my patients to understand their diagnosis and the available treatment options so that we can make decisions together.
In addition to caring for patients, I enjoy teaching and mentoring medical students and surgical trainees. I also conduct translational research focused on understanding the biological mechanisms of vascular disease and using those insights to develop better treatments for patients.
