About Me
As a psychiatrist at NYU Langone Psychiatry Associates, I am dedicated to providing comprehensive and empathetic care to my patients. My approach is centered on understanding each individual's unique experiences and challenges, and I strive to create a supportive environment where patients feel heard and respected. By actively listening and engaging with my patients, I aim to build a strong therapeutic relationship that fosters trust and facilitates effective treatment.
I specialize in treating patients with a wide range of psychiatric conditions, including anxiety disorders, mood disorders, and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). My experience as a consultation-liaison psychiatrist has equipped me with the skills to manage complex cases that intersect with other medical conditions.
In my outpatient practice, I focus on treating patients with anxiety, including social anxiety, panic disorder, and generalized anxiety disorder; and mood disorders, including major depressive disorder and persistent depressive disorder. I also have experience treating attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), insomnia, and other mental health issues.
Throughout my career, I have emphasized the importance of a holistic approach to mental healthcare. I am trained in integrative, cognitive-behavioral, acceptance and commitment therapy, and psychodynamic therapy, and I blend these modalities to tailor treatment plans to each patient's needs. My commitment to providing both therapy and medication management allows me to offer comprehensive care that addresses the full spectrum of mental health concerns.
My journey into psychiatry began with a desire to serve my community in a meaningful way. I chose this specialty because it combines my passion for medicine with a humanistic approach to patient care. I completed my psychiatry residency at Mount Sinai West and Morningside Hospitals, followed by specialized training as a consultation-liaison psychiatry fellow. Additionally, I completed the intensive psychoanalytic psychotherapy program at the William Alanson White Institute, further enhancing my expertise in providing nuanced and effective mental health care.
