Volunteer

At NYU Langone, our volunteers play a vital role in creating a welcoming and compassionate environment for patients, families, and other visitors.

Whether you’re interested in greeting and directing visitors, supporting patient care units, or assisting with various other tasks, we can match you with the right opportunity.

Academic Volunteers

As an academic medical center, we provide an environment that supports quality learning for the benefit of those who volunteer at our organization.

Volunteers seeking to gain experience in the medical field or receive academic credit  are considered unpaid nontraditional volunteers. These volunteers go through a separate approval process and are screened by NYU Langone’s Human Resources department prior to onboarding and training.

For information on nontraditional volunteer opportunities, please phone us at 212-404-3787 and select option 4, or email HRNTV@NYULangone.org.
