Grace Y. Ko
Executive Vice President for Development and Alumni Affairs
Grace Y. Ko, executive vice president for development and alumni affairs, is responsible for raising philanthropic support to enable the exceptional patient care, groundbreaking research, and innovative medical education for which NYU Langone Health is known. In addition, Ms. Ko oversees alumni affairs on behalf of NYU Grossman School of Medicine.
Ms. Ko works closely with the Board of Trustees, executive leadership, researchers, physicians, and staff to build an exceptional knowledge of NYU Langone and connect potential donors with the clinical or research area that interests them the most. Recent philanthropic gifts have allowed NYU Langone to establish endowed professorships, build and renovate facilities, expand ambitious clinical programs, broaden our scientific enterprise, establish new programs in family-centered care, and develop a technologically advanced curriculum that has become a national model for medical schools.
Previously Ms. Ko served as the vice president and executive director of campaign development, and was responsible for leading the planning, implementation, and management of a multibillion dollar fundraising initiative for NYU Langone. During this tenure, she supported NYU Langone’s transformative growth, recruiting many new leaders, building a robust team, realigning campaign financial forecasts, and developing high-level materials.
Prior to joining NYU Langone, Ms. Ko served as executive director of CCS, where she designed and launched campaigns for leading nonprofit organizations, conducted training programs, and presented at national conferences. She has also led international fundraising efforts, in which she partnered with government officials and developed region-specific fundraising strategies worldwide.
Ms. Ko, who holds a BA from Barnard College of Columbia University, has been a featured guest speaker for classes at NYU, and has been recognized with awards by NYU and NYU Langone for her leadership and outstanding individual and team contributions.
