Rusk Rehabilitation Brooklyn at Sunset Terrace Family Health Center provides specialized outpatient therapy to people recovering from musculoskeletal and neurological injuries. Our services include physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech-language pathology, and physiatry.

We also provide pelvic floor rehabilitation for men and women experiencing urinary incontinence, pelvic pain, and pelvic organ prolapse.
Occupational therapy is available for people with injuries or illnesses of the hand and arm to help them regain strength, dexterity, and function. Treatments are provided for people healing from wounds, scars, amputations, fractures, dislocations, sprains, and strains, and those diagnosed with hand arthritis, joint contracture, nerve injury, tendinitis, carpal tunnel syndrome, and neurological disorders. We provide a variety of treatments, including custom splint fabrication, in which a hand therapist makes a molded splint to precisely fit your hand and to address your specific issue.
We provide speech-language pathology services for adults with swallowing disorders, voice disorders, speech and language disorders, and cognitive disorders. These are often related to stroke, traumatic brain injury, or conditions such as Parkinson’s disease and multiple sclerosis.
Our physiatrist provides rehabilitative care to adults who require a prosthetic or orthotic device to treat foot deformities and gait disturbances such as drop foot. Therapy for generalized muscle weakness is also provided.
Our seating and wheelchair clinic evaluates adults who may require a specialized device to meet their individual needs.
Electromyogram (EMG) and nerve conduction studies (EMG/NCV) are also performed to assess the health of certain muscles and nerves.
