Ambulatory Care Center East 38th Street
Our location houses a variety of physician practices and outpatient services.

NYU Langone’s Anticoagulation Center assists patients who are required to take anticoagulant medications that prevent or treat blood clots. Often referred to as blood thinners, some of these pills require routine blood testing with a target international normalized ratio (INR) of 3. Our team is led by a board-certified hematologist specializing in clotting disorders and board-certified nurse practitioners who are highly trained in anticoagulation therapy management.

Designated an Anticoagulation Center of Excellence by the Anticoagulation Forum, we offer the following services:

  • anticoagulation procedure recommendations, including surgery if needed
  • assistance with home monitoring devices
  • coordination of anticoagulation management with primary care physicians and specialists
  • medication adjustments based on INR levels
  • patient education on safety issues and bleeding risks
  • video visits

If you are interested in becoming a patient, your primary care provider can send a referral through NYU Langone’s MyChart or fax a referral to 646-501-7697. Patients are seen by appointment only, Mondays through Fridays from 8:30AM to 5:00PM. We accept most insurance plans, including Medicare and Medicaid, and please contact your carrier to confirm your coverage.
