Welcome to the

Cystic Fibrosis Center

Our pulmonologists work with patients and their families to create customized treatment plans for cystic fibrosis.

NYU Langone’s Cystic Fibrosis Center, accredited by the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation for our expertise, offers diagnosis and treatment for patients from infancy through adulthood. Our team-based method of care involves the collaboration of pulmonologists, nurses, pharmacists, respiratory therapists, physical therapists, dietitians, and social workers.

We are committed to delivering excellent treatment and supportive services to children and adults with cystic fibrosis, a genetic condition that affects the lungs and digestive system, regardless of your insurance coverage. Our mission is to improve the quality of life for every patient by involving you and your family in developing an individualized treatment plan. During every visit, our team works to identify and resolve new and ongoing issues in an effort to maximize the effectiveness of all available cystic fibrosis therapies.

Doctor and Patient at Cystic Fibrosis Center

A doctor at our Cystic Fibrosis Center helps a young patient use a bronchodilator.

We’ve established a partnership with NYU Langone’s Child Study Center to support families affected by cystic fibrosis, teaching stress reduction techniques to ease anxiety about medical procedures, as well as help children with difficulties swallowing pills.

Exercise is also an important focus of our therapeutic program. Our pulmonologists and specialized exercise therapists collaborate to develop a program for your child to begin at the hospital and continue at home, resulting in significant improvements in clearing the airway.

Our Team

Our board-certified pulmonologists have years of experience in treating children and adults who have cystic fibrosis. Our doctors are also committed to training the next generation of physicians to continue offering expert care to people with this inherited condition.
