We are notifying each of our patients individually when you can schedule your vaccination. This is based on both your eligibility as determined by New York State and our available supply.
You will be notified by email or text message that you are able to schedule an appointment based on the contact information in your NYU Langone Health MyChart account. Please make sure your contact information is up to date. If you are an NYU Langone patient and do not have a MyChart account, create your account now so you can schedule your appointment as soon as you receive a notification.

Please do not call your doctor’s office about scheduling your vaccination appointment, as our vaccination appointments are made at specialized vaccination sites in Manhattan, Brooklyn, and Queens and on Long Island. You will be able to choose the location and time that is most convenient for you.
To ensure that the vaccine is available for your appointment, we are scheduling vaccinations only after we have confirmed that we have doses available for distribution.
When we notify you that you are eligible to schedule your vaccination, we encourage you to schedule your appointment as soon as possible.
When you are offered a vaccination appointment at NYU Langone, you may receive the Pfizer–BioNTech or the Moderna vaccine, based on our available supply. Both vaccines are approved for use in people age 18 and older, while the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine is approved for use in people age 16 and older. You will not be able to choose the vaccine you receive. You will be informed which one you receive at the time of your appointment. The vaccines have been proven to be highly effective at preventing severe disease.
Most people can immediately schedule an appointment after you receive the MyChart or text notification. However, we ask that you first contact your doctor before making an appointment if any of these categories apply to you:

The Pfizer-BioNTech and Moderna vaccines require two doses. You will receive a notification to schedule the second vaccination through MyChart. You will be offered appointments between three and four weeks after your first dose, depending on the vaccine you received.
