As a clinical health psychologist at NYU Langone, I am dedicated to integrating psychological wellbeing with physical health. My role involves working closely with patients and families dealing with complex or life-limiting medical conditions, chronic pain, and functional disorders. I believe in a holistic approach to care, recognizing that mental and physical health are deeply interconnected. Witnessing the resilience and strength of children, adolescents, and their families inspires me daily.

I specialize in trauma-informed and mindfulness-based interventions. My clinical expertise includes managing patients with trauma-related symptoms, depression, anxiety, and facilitating behavior change. I am passionate about helping patients lead meaningful lives despite the challenges posed by stressful illnesses or life events. My work primarily focuses on children, adolescents, and their families.

At the Hassenfeld Children’s Hospital at NYU Langone, I collaborate with pediatric medical teams to ensure comprehensive, whole-person care. My background in public health informs my understanding of the social and structural factors that affect access to care and influence overall health outcomes. This collaborative approach ensures that we address both the psychological and physical aspects of health.

My journey into clinical health psychology was driven by a desire to address the multifaceted impacts of illness on individuals and their families. I am committed to reducing stigma around mental health and improving health equity through my research and programmatic initiatives. In addition to my clinical work, I supervise trainees, teach undergraduate students, and engage in research exploring mindfulness-based interventions and the effects of social marginalization on mental health.
