About Me
As a pediatric neuropsychologist at the Child Study Center, which is part of Hassenfeld Children's Hospital at NYU Langone, I am dedicated to understanding the underlying brain mechanisms that promote and support children's development into adulthood. My passion for this field began early in my undergraduate and graduate studies, when I realized the profound impact that understanding children’s unique developmental trajectories can have on their overall growth and success.
As the clinical director of the Neuropsychology and Learning Service, I lead a team of neuropsychologists dedicated to providing comprehensive and coordinated care. Our goal is to ensure that each patient receives the best possible support and understanding. We work closely with children and their families to navigate neurodevelopmental and learning challenges.
In my role, I provide comprehensive diagnostic and neuropsychological evaluations, which are crucial in identifying a child's learning profile, strengths, and areas of struggle. From these evaluations, I formulate tailored recommendations to support each child's unique needs. My expertise includes evaluating and understanding neurodevelopmental conditions such as learning disabilities, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), language disorders, and autism, I also assess for co-occurring mood disorders like anxiety and depression, and work with children with complex medical histories.
My work involves closely collaborating with other medical providers, teachers, and parents to build supportive teams around each child, ensuring a holistic approach to each child's development. Ultimately my goal is to help children understand their abilities and develop strategies to overcome challenges, thereby realizing their full potential.
Additionally, I offer individual therapy, including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) for children, adolescents, and young adults dealing with anxiety, depression, and other mood and behavioral conditions. I have a specialty focus in supporting parents, helping them navigate the challenges of balancing personal goals, mental health, and family life.
Beyond my clinical work, I am involved in training the next generation of neuropsychologists by supervising postdoctoral and graduate neuropsychology students. I contribute to the advancement of pediatric neuropsychology through clinical research efforts and am proud to be part of a multidisciplinary team at NYU Langone dedicated to improving the lives of young patients and their families. Together, we work to unlock the potential within every child and pave the way for a brighter future.
