About Me
I have always been interested in life sciences and biology. I chose a career in medicine to improve the lives of individuals and communities through science and by providing quality healthcare. I was particularly interested in the field of gastroenterology and endoscopic techniques because there have been significant advancements which have kept this specialty at the forefront of medicine.
I care for all patients with gastrointestinal illnesses. I am best known for treating patients with esophageal, stomach, small bowel, and colonic disorders. These diseases include gastroesophageal reflux disease, gastrointestinal bleeding, peptic ulcer disease, ulcerative colitis, and motility disorders of the gastrointestinal tract, such as gastroparesis, constipation, and achalasia.
Some of the gastrointestinal procedures I specialize in include upper endoscopy and colonoscopy with polypectomy, biopsy, tumor ablation, and control of bleeding. I also perform capsule endoscopy evaluations of the small intestine. I utilize rubber band ligation procedures to treat internal hemorrhoids. I’ve performed esophageal pH testing, and I use EndoFLIP® technology to diagnose esophageal motility disorders, guide medical treatment of gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), and determine whether a patient requires esophageal reflux surgical procedures.
My medical school training taught me to emphasize a complete and comprehensive approach to patient care, which includes innovative healthcare, patient education, and collaboration with referring physicians.
Our medical team incorporates the latest diagnostic and treatment modalities in a friendly, clean, and patient-centered environment. We offer consultative and endoscopic services in in-office or hospital-based settings, depending on the patient’s needs.
