About Me
As a board-certified clinical health psychologist at NYU Langone, I strive to provide compassionate and productive care for individuals with complex health and medical conditions. My approach is centered on understanding patients’ unique stories and the physical and emotional factors that have shaped their current health status.
I specialize in working with patients who have cardiopulmonary, vestibular, oncologic, nephrology, and neurologic conditions. My expertise lies in addressing the psychological aspects of these chronic health issues, helping patients manage stress, improve their coping strategies, and enhancing their overall wellbeing. I am particularly passionate about the intersection of physical and emotional health, and I employ techniques to support my patients in achieving their health goals.
Throughout my career, I have been dedicated to proactive healthcare engagement. I enjoy supervising and mentoring psychology interns, particularly in our stress management and sleep strategies groups. Additionally, I actively share my knowledge and experiences at national conferences, grand rounds, on podcasts, and through contributions to Psychology Today. Working in the dynamic environment of NYU Langone allows me to collaborate with esteemed colleagues and stay at the forefront of advances in health psychology.
My journey into the field of health psychology began in graduate school, where I discovered a perfect blend of my interests in medicine and human understanding. My fellowship in primary care and health psychology solidified my passion for this specialty. Pursuing board certification further deepened my appreciation for the intricate relationship between physical and emotional health. I am committed to helping my patients navigate their health journeys with empathy and expertise.
