About Me
I combine a passion for science and human connection with my dedication to supporting patients through life’s most meaningful transitions. I chose obstetrics and gynecology because it is a relationship-centered specialty that offers continuity of care, allowing me to partner with patients during adolescence, pregnancy, childbirth, and menopause. I find fulfillment in learning my patients’ stories and understanding what matters most to them, especially during transformative or vulnerable moments.
Throughout my career, I have cultivated an interest in physician well-being and resilience, focusing on what helps healthcare professionals not just endure training and practice, but thrive. I developed wellness curricula implemented on a national scale and launched the Thriving in Scrubs podcast, which shares authentic stories of growth and purpose in medicine. My commitment extends beyond patient care to fostering a supportive and humane culture in medicine for both physicians and patients.
I am a dedicated member of NYU Langone’s inpatient obstetrics team, where I provide care for adult patients during pregnancy, labor, childbirth, and the postpartum period. As a laborist and patient safety officer at NYU Langone Tisch Hospital, my expertise spans routine and high-risk pregnancies, including obstetric emergencies and medically complex cases. I collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team to ensure safe, evidence-based care for patients from diverse communities in New York City.
My clinical practice includes comprehensive inpatient obstetric care, such as managing labor and delivery, performing operative vaginal deliveries and cesarean sections, providing postpartum care, and addressing obstetric emergencies. I am known for my focus on team-based care, patient safety, and clear communication during high-acuity situations, ensuring that patients receive the highest quality of care.
In addition to my clinical role, I am the vice chair for education in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, director of faculty development and mentoring at NYU Grossman School of Medicine, and assistant director of the master of health professions education program. I lead the health equity and retention in obstetrics and gynecology (HERO) project to support a thriving national OBGYN workforce and participates in programs aimed at physician wellness, coaching, and improving the transition from medical school to residency. My work integrates patient care, mentorship, teaching, and research to support the next generation of physicians.
My care philosophy is rooted in individualized, compassionate, and evidence-based treatment grounded in trust. I listen attentively, understand each patient’s unique values and goals, and ensure they feel informed and supported through every aspect of their care. Whether a patient is experiencing the joy of childbirth or navigating unexpected challenges, I am committed to providing safe and compassionate care tailored to their needs.
The most rewarding part of my profession is building relationships with patients and accompanying them through transformative moments in their lives. I cherish the continuity and trust inherent in obstetrics and gynecology, finding fulfillment in helping families grow and ensuring patients feel cared for during experiences that matter deeply to them.
