Paula Yeghiayan, MD

As a radiologist at NYU Langone, I specialize in diagnostic radiology with a focus on abdominal imaging and neuroradiology. My approach to medicine is deeply rooted in my background in research and my commitment to critical thinking and problem-solving.

I am board certified in diagnostic radiology and hold a certificate of added qualification in neuroradiology. My extensive training includes fellowships in both abdominal imaging at Columbia University and neuroradiology at Beth Israel Medical Center. This specialized expertise allows me to effectively address a wide range of conditions, ensuring that my patients receive the highest standard of care.

Throughout my career, I have been actively involved in resident education, serving on the education committee and representing the emergency radiology section at NYU Langone Hospital–Long Island. My work in emergency radiology is both challenging and rewarding, as it involves handling complex cases at a high volume, often requiring immediate and precise decision-making.

My journey into medicine began during my undergraduate studies at UCLA, where I conducted research in genetics. This experience, coupled with my graduate work at Columbia University in genetics and developmental biology, inspired me to apply my research skills to the practical field of medicine. I pursued my medical degree at Mount Sinai School of Medicine, where I developed a keen interest in radiology through various electives. My training continued with an internal medicine year at St. Luke’s–Roosevelt Hospital and a diagnostic radiology residency at Saint Vincent’s Hospital in Manhattan.

I am passionate about leveraging my skills and experience to provide exceptional care to my patients. As part of the NYU Langone system, I am committed to fostering strong partnerships with my patients and ensuring a coordinated approach to their healthcare needs.
