About Me
I chose to specialize in pulmonary and sleep medicine because of the vital connection between breathing, sleep, and overall health. Many patients with lung diseases also experience sleep-disordered breathing, and these conditions have a significant impact on energy levels, cardiovascular health, and quality of life. Sleep disorders are often underrecognized, but they can profoundly influence a person's wellbeing, making it deeply rewarding to help patients address these issues.
Building trust is at the heart of my care approach. Many of the individuals I work with have lived with symptoms for years before seeking help from a sleep specialist. I listen to my patients, explain diagnoses and treatment options in a way that is accessible, and work together to create a plan that brings results while also setting realistic expectations.
In my practice, I focus on sleep medicine, particularly sleep-disordered breathing and conditions that impact sleep and respiratory health. I evaluate and treat obstructive sleep apnea, central sleep apnea, insomnia, restless legs syndrome, circadian rhythm disorders, and other sleep-related conditions. As part of an academic medical center, I’m fortunate to work in a multidisciplinary environment where specialists in cardiovascular, neurologic, metabolic, and other areas of health come together to provide comprehensive care.
My ultimate goal is to ensure that patients feel heard and supported throughout their healthcare journey. I want them to know they have a partner—someone who listens, explains their options, and empowers them to make informed decisions about their health.
