Tuan Nguyen, D.O.

As a pediatric hospitalist at NYU Langone Health, I am dedicated to providing compassionate, family-centered care. Since the sixth grade, I have known that I wanted to become a pediatrician, and even then, I knew my calling was within the walls of a hospital. I am committed to helping children and their families navigate the challenges of hospitalization with empathy and expertise, and I am dedicated to ensuring the best possible outcomes for my young patients.

I specialize in caring for children both on the inpatient pediatrics unit and the mother-baby unit. I treat a wide range of conditions on the inpatient pediatrics unit, including respiratory illnesses, gastrointestinal conditions, and infectious diseases. On the mother-baby unit, I perform routine newborn evaluations, manage common newborn conditions and offer anticipatory guidance to parents and caregivers.

I embrace a collaborative approach to clinical care. I work closely with specialists including infectious diseases, surgery, hematology-oncology, neonatology, and endocrinology. Our multidisciplinary team at NYU Langone Hospital - Long Island includes pediatric pharmacists, physical and occupational therapists, nutritionists, speech-language pathologists, and child life specialists, all working together to provide comprehensive, coordinated care.

My work in pediatric hospital medicine inspires me every day to make a difference in children's lives. My educational background and experiences have shaped my approach to care, emphasizing the importance of family involvement and teamwork.
