Nelly Parisot, MD

As an emergency medicine physician at NYU Langone, I am committed to delivering attentive care in critical situations. My journey into medicine was driven by a deep curiosity about people and the world, instilled in me by my parents during my childhood spent moving between France and the United States. This diverse upbringing has shaped my approach to medicine, allowing me to connect with patients from all backgrounds and provide the best possible care during their most challenging moments.

I specialize in emergency medicine, with a particular focus on trauma care, disaster preparedness, airway management, and quality improvement projects. With several years of experience in the field, I help manage acute conditions and provide immediate, life-saving interventions. My background in neuroscience and psychology, combined with my hands-on experience in emergency settings, allows me to effectively address both the physical and mental health needs of my patients.

My passion for clinical care and teaching drives me to continuously improve patient outcomes and mentor the next generation of healthcare professionals. My educational journey began at Barnard College, where I studied animal models of schizophrenia and worked with individuals suffering from mental illness and addiction.

Today, I most enjoy being there for my patients on their hardest day. I strive to use my experiences and skills to provide compassionate, patient centered, quality care in a high-pressure environment. I strongly believe that all people deserve the best care, and I am proud to work in an environment that provides a safety net for the people of New York. Working alongside incredible residents, students, nurses, and staff, I am in a unique position to navigate the complexities of our healthcare system and collaborate with others to help people.
