About Me
As a psychiatrist at NYU Langone, I am deeply invested in understanding the unique life experiences that shape an individual’s development. I have a particular interest in the critical period of emerging adulthood and the lasting impact health disruptions during this time can have on an individual’s life. My approach to mental healthcare is comprehensive and personalized. I work with patients to create treatment plans that account for an individual’s unique circumstances, strengths, and needs.
My primary focus is on transition age youth, especially those in college or graduate school. As a clinician in the NYC Health + Hospitals/Bellevue outpatient clinic and the Mental Health Services for Medical Students and House staff at NYU Grossman School of Medicine, I am able to fulfill my passion for helping others, providing the highest level of care to those in need. I am well-versed in the unique mental health challenges faced by this demographic and have developed effective strategies to address them. Being a part of NYU Langone allows me to collaborate with other healthcare professionals, ensuring a coordinated care experience for my patients.
Throughout my career, I have emphasized proactive engagement in healthcare, encouraging my patients to take a role in their mental healthcare. I believe in fostering strong partnerships with my patients, ensuring their voices are heard and their needs are met. This commitment to patient engagement and responsiveness has been a cornerstone of my practice, contributing to positive patient experiences and outcomes.
My journey into medicine was inspired by a lifelong desire to take care of others. Initially drawn to pediatrics, I soon found my calling in psychiatry, captivated by the complexity of the human mind and the opportunity to make a lasting impact on my patients’ lives.
