About Me
As an orthopedic surgeon at NYU Langone, I am dedicated to providing comprehensive care to athletes and active individuals of all ages. My approach combines both operative and non-operative treatments to ensure that my patients can maintain their active lifestyles. I believe in creating individualized treatment plans that align with patients’ unique needs and goals, helping them achieve optimal wellbeing.
I specialize in sports medicine, with expertise in advanced arthroscopy, complex reconstruction, and cartilage restoration procedures of the hip, knee, ankle, shoulder, and elbow. Additionally, I perform joint replacements for patients with arthritis of the hip, knee, and shoulder, and treat fractures of both the upper and lower extremities. My goal is to help patients recover quickly and return to their activities stronger than before.
Throughout my career, I have gained extensive experience working with professional and collegiate athletes. I currently serve as the team physician for the Harlem Wizards men’s professional basketball team and have previously served as the assistant team physician for the NFL’s New York Jets and the National Women’s Hockey League’s Metropolitan Riveters. My experience also includes providing medical care for high school athletes, participants in the New York City Marathon, and the dancers of Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater.
My educational journey began at the Penn State University Eberly College of Science, where I graduated magna cum laude. I earned my medical degree from the Renaissance School of Medicine at Stony Brook University, where I was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honors Society and received multiple academic awards. I completed my orthopedic surgery residency at NYU Langone Orthopedic Hospital, where I served as executive chief resident and received the Herodicus Society Award for best resident paper. Following residency, I pursued a fellowship in orthopedic sports medicine and arthroscopy at Lenox Hill Hospital.
I am passionate about helping my patients achieve their highest level of function and performance. Seeing my patients return to the activities they love, whether it’s playing sports, dancing, or simply enjoying daily life, is incredibly rewarding. My commitment to their health and wellbeing drives me to continually advance my skills and knowledge in the field of orthopedic sports medicine.
