Rachel S. Bubly, MD

After serving as an EMT for four years, I knew I wanted to pursue a career in emergency medicine. I resonated deeply with the core values of the emergency department—a place where the door is always open to anyone in need and where a team stands ready to treat any illness or injury.

I completed my emergency medicine training at NYU Langone/Bellevue Hospital, where I developed expertise in diagnosing and treating a wide range of emergent conditions. I consider it a privilege to have served New York City's resilient and diverse population during my training.

Witnessing the complexities of serious illness conversations in the emergency department inspired me to further my skills. I completed a palliative medicine and hospice fellowship at NYU Langone/Bellevue Hospital, where I received specialized training in empathetic communication, prognostication, and providing comfort to patients facing serious illnesses or end-of-life situations.

I am dedicated to understanding each patient’s unique concerns and working collaboratively to deliver care that aligns with their personal goals and values.
