As a critical care cardiologist at NYU Langone, I am dedicated to providing comprehensive and compassionate care to patients with severe cardiovascular conditions, including cardiogenic shock, critical valve disease, and life-threatening arrhythmias. My approach is rooted in authenticity and genuine interaction, ensuring that my patients feel understood and supported throughout their treatment journey.

Additionally, I am a structural echocardiographer, performing and interpreting echocardiograms and guiding percutaneous procedures such as left atrial appendage occlusion, transcatheter aortic valve replacement, and transcatheter mitral edge-to-edge repair. This dual expertise in both critical care and structural echocardiography allows me to offer a comprehensive approach to managing patients with complex cardiac conditions.

My team and I manage both cardiovascular and non-cardiovascular aspects of critical illness, incorporating mechanical circulatory support and advanced therapies as needed. We collaborate closely with a variety of different teams, including advanced heart failure, cardiothoracic surgery, interventional cardiology, and electrophysiology to provide the best possible care for our patients.

My journey into medicine began with a passion for math and science, leading me to major in bioengineering and materials science engineering. Working with physicians sparked my interest in patient care, steering me away from medical device design and towards cardiology. The field’s parallels to engineering—flows, pressures, pumps, and circuits—captivated me. At NYU Langone, I am proud to be part of a team that prioritizes the highest standard of coordinated care for our patients.
