As a neonatologist at NYU Langone, I am deeply committed to providing family-centered care. I believe that involving parents in the care of their newborns not only helps them understand and trust the medical process but also strengthens the bond between parent and child. It is a privilege to support families during such a critical time, and I am dedicated to ensuring that parents feel informed and empowered throughout their baby’s stay in the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU).

I specialize in lung development and respiratory management, focusing on helping premature and critically ill infants achieve the best possible outcomes. With extensive training and years of experience in neonatology, I am equipped to handle complex cases and am passionate about discharging patients home without major complications. Seeing our NICU graduates grow up healthy and happy is the greatest reward for me and our team.

Throughout my career, I have emphasized the importance of proactive healthcare engagement. I work closely with families to alleviate their stress and guilt, ensuring they understand that they are not to blame for their child’s condition. By encouraging parents to participate in their baby’s care, we not only improve the infant’s health outcomes but also prepare parents for the transition home, fostering a supportive and nurturing environment.

My journey into neonatology began during my second year as a pediatrics resident. I realized that being a neonatologist is a unique opportunity to make a significant impact on the lives of infants and their families. Inspired by the resilience of these tiny patients and the dedication of my colleagues, I pursued a career in neonatology. I am honored to be part of the talented NICU team at NYU Langone, where we strive to provide coordinated, seamless care for our patients and their families.
