About Me
As a pediatric critical care specialist at NYU Langone, I am dedicated to providing compassionate care to critically ill children. My passion for helping others and making a difference in the world has driven me to pursue a career in medicine. I find immense fulfillment in building trust and rapport with patients and their families, ensuring they feel safe and involved in their child's care during some of the most challenging times of their lives.
I specialize in managing and treating a broad spectrum of pediatric illnesses and diseases, including pneumonia, sepsis, and traumatic brain injuries. With extensive training in high-acuity and high-volume hospitals, I have developed a strong foundation in critical care medicine, including procedural experience and vascular access knowledge. My commitment to clear and compassionate communication helps families understand complex medical concepts, empowering them to make informed decisions about their child's health.
Throughout my career, I have focused on proactive healthcare engagement and quality improvement. My research has centered on improving family meeting outcomes in the intensive care unit (ICU) setting, particularly through enhancing family-centered rounds and encouraging more family care meetings. These efforts aim to foster better communication and collaboration, ensuring comprehensive and personalized care for each patient.
My journey into medicine was inspired by my experiences volunteering in community hospitals overseas and training at a level 1 trauma center in an underserved community during my residency. These experiences motivated me to pursue the best medical training possible and develop a strong commitment to advocating for the health and safety of critically ill children. As a chief resident and chief fellow during my training years, I honed my leadership and communication skills, which I now bring to my role at NYU Langone, where I collaborate with a dedicated team to provide exceptional care.
