About Me
As a child, adolescent, and adult psychiatrist at the Child Study Center, part of Hassenfeld Children’s Hospital at NYU Langone, I am dedicated to understanding the unique stories and complexities of each patient I treat. My approach is rooted in curiosity and empathy, allowing me to connect deeply with children and families. Whether we are building Legos, coloring, playing a game, or navigating a challenging clinical puzzle, I strive to create a supportive environment for my patients.
I specialize in treating patients with a wide range of mental health challenges, including but not limited to attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), anxiety, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), depression, autism spectrum disorder, bipolar disorder, behavioral and emotional dysregulation, school avoidance, psychosis, and tic disorders. My passion lies in working with complex cases that require a nuanced understanding and a thorough exploration to uncover the root of the issue.
With more than a decade of experience in psychiatry, I bring a wealth of knowledge and a thoughtful approach to psychopharmacology. I believe in the careful and informed use of medications when conservative approaches have not been successful. I take the time to discuss options, address concerns, and provide comprehensive information to help my patients make decisions about their treatment.
My passion extends beyond providing clinical care, into teaching the next generation of psychiatrists and leading the pharmaceutical clinical trials program, which aims to provide novel treatments and expand access to new pharmacologic options for our patients.
Whether you are an adult, teenager, or child, I am here to work with you. Together, we can try to understand the root of your challenges and develop a treatment strategy that helps you thrive. I am committed to meeting you exactly where you are in your treatment journey and moving at a pace that feels comfortable for you.
