About Me
As a physician specializing in pulmonary and critical care at NYU Langone Pulmonary & Critical Care Associates, I am privileged to offer comprehensive care to patients both in hospital and clinic settings.
My approach to medicine is rooted in compassion, humanity, and evidence-based practices. I believe that successful treatment outcomes arise from not only medical expertise but also understanding and respecting patients' individual goals, values, and identities beyond their medical conditions. This philosophy guides each interaction and every patient visit.
I have a particular interest in the intersection of pulmonary and critical care with infectious diseases, which shapes my approach to patient care. In my clinic, I treat patients with general pulmonary conditions and specialize in managing complex, chronic respiratory infections. This includes inpatient care for pulmonary tuberculosis and outpatient care for conditions like cystic fibrosis, non-tuberculous mycobacterial infections, and fungal infections.
Beyond patient care, I contribute to departmental research, currently focusing on bacteriophage therapy—a promising treatment for resistant infections that don’t respond to conventional antibiotics. This innovative research and my fascination with the respiratory system’s intricate physiology drives my commitment to advancing medical knowledge and improving patient outcomes.
