About Me
As a board-certified psychiatrist at NYU Langone, I am deeply committed to understanding the human mind and providing comprehensive care to those navigating mental health challenges. I believe that mental health is a vital part of overall wellbeing, influencing how we see ourselves, handle stress, and adapt to life’s hurdles. Currently, I serve as the medical director of inpatient psychiatry at NYU Langone’s Long Island Community Hospital, where I foster an environment that promotes comprehensive care.
My expertise is in treating a variety of mental health conditions, including depression, anxiety, schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, and attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). Since completing my residency in 2019, I have been dedicated to inpatient care, finding it deeply satisfying to work closely with patients on their journey to recovery. My credentials and years of experience have equipped me with the skills to deliver treatments that are informed by the latest research, which includes medications and therapy.
Throughout my career, I have been committed to proactive engagement in healthcare, focusing on treating the individual, not just the symptoms. This approach involves understanding the patient from all aspects, extending empathy, respect, and quality care. I firmly believe in the power of a collaborative environment, working alongside nurses, social workers, therapists, and medical students to address all aspects of a patient’s wellbeing.
My fascination with the human mind and its intricacies inspired me to pursue a career in psychiatry. The opportunity to make a tangible difference in my patients’ lives, helping them navigate their mental health challenges, has been a rewarding journey. As part of the NYU Langone team, I am dedicated to providing coordinated, seamless care, ensuring that my patients receive the highest standard of care.
