As a physician at NYU Langone, I am dedicated to providing advanced and compassionate care to patients who are critically ill. My role as the director of the Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit at NYU Langone Hospital—Long Island allows me to work at the forefront of critical care medicine, where I am continually challenged to adopt innovative approaches and deliver the most advanced treatments.

I specialize in critical care, pulmonary medicine, and hospice and palliative medicine, treating a wide range of patients with complex and life-threatening conditions. My expertise includes managing patients undergoing coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG), valve surgeries, and advanced therapies for heart failure and cardiogenic shock, such as ventricular assist devices (VADs) and extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO). This diverse skill set enables me to address the unique needs of each patient effectively.

With more than 15 years of experience in critical care medicine, I have worked across various medical and surgical intensive care units, gaining extensive experience in managing patients with critical illnesses. My sub-specialization in cardiothoracic critical care reflects my commitment to staying at the cutting edge of medical advances. I am privileged to collaborate with intensivists and cardiac surgeons to ensure our patients receive the highest standard of coordinated care.

My journey into medicine began with a desire to make a meaningful difference in the lives of patients. I earned my doctor of osteopathic medicine degree from the New York Institute of Technology College of Osteopathic Medicine in 2001, followed by a residency in internal medicine at Jacobi Medical Center. I completed a fellowship in pulmonary, critical care, and sleep medicine at NYU Medical Center. My board certifications in critical care medicine, pulmonary disease, hospice and palliative medicine, internal medicine, and neurocritical care underscore my dedication to the field.
