I always felt that cardiology was at the heart of medicine. In fact, I never thought of pursuing another field. Early on in my medical training, I saw that cardiology was at the brink of an explosion of technological and pharmaceutical advances, and this has, in fact, been the case.

I specialize in preventive cardiology and treating people who have chronic cardiac conditions, including hypertension, hyperlipidemia, atrial fibrillation, ischemic heart disease, and congestive heart failure. I believe that the treatment of every patient should be unique and must be seen as a collaborative effort between myself, the patient, and the patient’s family, if appropriate.

I am committed to providing high-quality and thoughtful care to all of my patients. Depending on the patient’s age, comorbid conditions, and expectations, we work together to decide on a treatment strategy that is unique to him or her.

I received the Cardiovascular Science Award with the Long Island Heart Association at the 50th Annual Heart Ball in April 2013. Additionally, I was awarded the Lifetime Achievement Award by the medical staff of NYU Langone Hospital—Long Island in May 2018.
