As a psychiatrist at NYU Langone, I am committed to helping my patients manage emotional and psychological distress, guiding them towards happier, healthier, and more fulfilled lives. My approach to care is collaborative, combining my expertise in psychiatric diagnosis, pharmacology, and psychotherapy with my patients’ unique life experiences and perspectives.
My specialties include treating conditions such as mood disorders, anxiety, ADHD, psychosis, PTSD, and personality disorders. I have a particular focus on anxiety disorders, which can be very distressing but respond well to treatment. I also provide support for challenging life experiences such as grief, divorce, health setbacks, and caretaking difficulties.
My journey into psychiatry was driven by a desire to help people navigate their emotional and psychological challenges. I see psychiatry as an exciting and growing specialty, and I am enthusiastic about the advancements we’re making in the field. As a lifelong learner, I continually expand my knowledge and skills. Being a part of NYU Langone, I frequently collaborate with and coordinate care with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive treatment for my patients.
Throughout my career, I have been dedicated to fostering strong partnerships with my patients. My goal is to empower my patients, ensuring they feel heard and play an active role in their treatment. For some patients, I also provide ongoing individual psychotherapy, with or without medications. My approach to therapy is eclectic, but I lean towards a method known as “depth psychotherapy,” which allows for a deeper understanding of oneself.
