About Me
As a pediatric critical care intensivist at NYU Langone, I am deeply committed to improving the lives of critically ill children. My work in high-pressure environments allows me to make a real difference in the lives of my patients and their families. Driven by compassion and a desire to provide the best possible care, I strive to ensure that each child receives the attention and treatment they need to thrive.
I specialize in pediatric critical care, focusing on the management of critically ill children. With extensive experience in this field, I am actively involved in quality improvement initiatives within the Department of Pediatrics. I co-lead the Pediatric Adverse Drug Event program and serve as a member of the Pediatric Patient Safety Committee. These roles enable me to contribute to safer and more effective care for our young patients.
Throughout my career, I have dedicated myself to proactive healthcare engagement. I work closely with our Patient and Family Advisory Council (PFAC) members to create and implement educational activities that enhance the patient and family experience during inpatient admissions. My commitment to patient engagement and responsiveness ensures that families feel supported and informed throughout their child’s care journey.
In addition to my clinical work, I am passionate about medical education. I serve as an educator in both undergraduate and graduate medical education, mentoring medical students, residents, and fellows. Through lectures, hands-on training, and bedside teaching, I aim to inspire the next generation of pediatricians and critical care specialists. My goal is to equip them with the knowledge, skills, and compassion necessary to provide exceptional care to their future patients.
My journey into medicine was inspired by a deep-seated compassion and a desire to make a meaningful impact. I pursued my medical education with a focus on pediatrics, driven by the belief that every child deserves the best possible start in life. At NYU Langone, I am proud to be part of a team that values coordinated, seamless care, ensuring that our patients receive comprehensive and compassionate treatment.
