About Me
As a general surgeon at NYU Langone Ambulatory Care Garden City, I am dedicated to providing individualized care that integrates all aspects of a patient's medical condition. My approach is centered on understanding the complexity of patients' health, ensuring that every decision is tailored to their unique needs. I believe the key to effective treatment lies in a comprehensive evaluation, rather than relying solely on isolated test results or imaging studies.
I specialize in managing patients with conditions such as gallbladder disease and hernias. My expertise extends to determining when surgical intervention is necessary, recognizing that not every case requires immediate action. I am particularly skilled in addressing situations in which patients have multiple competing health issues, requiring a carefully sequenced plan of care. Additionally, I am proficient in advanced techniques such as robotic surgery, which offers patients less invasive options with quicker recovery times.
With years of experience in the field, I have developed a keen ability to solve complex medical puzzles. The technical aspects of surgery are fascinating to me, but what I find most fulfilling is exercising good judgment to make the best decisions for my patients. My commitment to patient care is complemented by my passion for teaching. I have received numerous teaching awards and take pride in my ability to communicate complex medical concepts to diverse audiences, including medical students, residents, and patients.
My journey into medicine was inspired by a desire to make a meaningful impact on people's lives. I am a strong advocate for informed consent and believe in empowering patients to participate in their healthcare decisions. At NYU Langone, I collaborate with a team to ensure that my patients receive the highest standard of coordinated care. My educational background and continuous pursuit of knowledge drive my dedication to excellence in patient care.
